well I would suggest planning it out first when I did it l just jumped into it so the first few years were a bit ruff but now l am up and running oh and make sure to hire trust-worthy people

I was going to start small as a side business and run it myself with maybe some help from my wife ( I might have one some day ) I wanted 3 different coops. 2 big enough for 40-50 birds and the third a little smaller for my personal flock. In one coop I'd have a popular breed that I could get my name out with and some money coming in and the other coop a more rare breed. Once I sell out I'd replenish the popular breed but get a different rare breed and if I like the new breeds I'm selling I might keep one for my personal flock.

Ya spence l have such a variety that l just have 3 long coops that are divided up into small sections with 10 hens and a rooster than a few small one on the sides

Today i went outside with the duck food bucket, i was walking down the stairs that go to the backyard, i turned around to put the bucket down where it goes, and i stopped at the sight of a rounded triangle like object with 2 black dots on it. I couldn't see it well, (It was dark, earlier i was walking around my house looking for pants and it got late) so i kept looking at it. My eyes focused, and i saw the body. A possum what standing right where the feed bucket goes! I was 2 feet from it, i stood at still as a deer. I didn't know if it would attack my leg or anything, i don't know much about possums, and this was the first time seeing one. I waited until it calmly walked away under the steps of the stairs, it probably went under the deck.
