Sunburnt Hen?

The 18 month old RIR I just adopted is going through an extreme molt...I think she may have gotten sunburnt at her previous home. I've been keeping her and the other new girls in a cage indoors for quarantine. I'd like to put them out for a few hours tomorrow for some fresh air. Should I be putting an apron or sunscreen or something on her for protection?

Any chicken skin exposed to the elements gets bright red like that. It's perfectly normal and is not painful, although it certainly looks like it is. No special care is necessary. She will look much better soon.
