I think he was deprived of water for a while. His original owner thought he should be on the same watering schedule as her succulent
So now that he’s had proper care for a bit he’s perked up.

Dawww. How does he or she manage to kill them?
We have some die every so often but it's typically due to mismanagement or just random death. I did lose a favorite succulent to an evil hen though. I'm still mad at her about that.
