Sunflower seeds

Can I give my chicken sunflower seeds as treats in the hot summer ? Could it cause the chicken to over heat like corn?

Black oil sunflower seeds (often called "BOSS") can be a treat any time of year. But as a treat, feed it sparingly.

In the heat of summer, my chickens really liked pieces of watermelon, especially when it had been refrigerated. Cool and hydrating, both. And the seeds were appreciated too.

Thank for the reply .. I was worried bc I live in Arizona n it super hot here
