sunflowers seeds as mash

hello folks

can i mash a sunflower seeds and give it to chickens as treat..

they barely eat the whole seed so im thinking of using mash machine to mashing the seed

Mine aren't wild about them either, so they get scratch or kitchen scraps instead, very occasionally. It's a treat, and training them to come when called, so crushing the sunflower seeds is an unnecessary chore, IMO.
