I have a cochin that lays those as well...look just like that pic. The ones that have signs of life at 8-9 days usually hatch, but about half do not have life in them. Kinda wonder if my roo is too little?

Hey Lady!

Is this what your eggs look like?

That was one of my Dorking eggs. I think it was scrambled, because it didn't hatch. But I've had porous eggs hatch before.

I think it's the degree of porousity too. I haven't had enough experience with them to come up with something definitive. Heck, everyone said my cracked egg(from shipping) wouldn't hatch, so never say never
