Look what I found in the nest this morning. This is one of the biggest eggs I have ever found. It was layed by one of my ameraucana pullets. I hope it was not her first egg, but this is only the 3rd blue egg from my pullets, so it maybe a first egg or a second egg. Poor thing. She has been resting all afternoon
I am so happy to be getting blue eggs. I do hope that some of them will lay green eggs too though. I have had ameraucana's before and they all layed green eggs.
I like getting all different color eggs. I'll be focusing on very dark brown egg layers next year.
