My 3 week old Rhode Island Red has had unusually watery poops. They’re mostly water with maybe a small drop of normalish poo. I’ll post a picture when she poops again. Is she sick?

The quality of poop on its own isn't as significant as the behavior of the chicken in question.

How is your chick behaving? Is it active, eating and drinking, interacting normally with the other chicks? Or is it standing around in mostly one spot with eyes closed and feathers fluffed up?

If it's the latter, your chick may be sick. But if the chick is normal in every other respect, there isn't really anything to be concerned about.

Seven years ago I brought home four chicks from the feed store. Immediately I noticed one chick was audibly producing watery "splorts". I worried the chick might be sick, just as you are with your chick. But the chick was happy, active and healthy in all other respects.

Fast forward to today. That chick is now a seven-year old hen and still laying regularly. But she still has the same watery "splorts". Maybe one out of fifty poops appears solid. She has never been sick a day in her long, productive life.

That makes me feel so much better! She acts normally and everything. She's the only chick we have (I know that's not recommended, but we are only allowed to have 3 chickens at our house and we already have 2) so I don't have any other chicks to compare her to! But she still wants to hang out and eat bugs and stuff.
