How/where do you store your coop supplies such as feed, shavings, cleaning supplies, etc? I currently keep mine in the basement; however I'm getting tired of hauling it back and forth. Am hoping to get ideas to store it closer to the coop.

My garden shed is just steps from the chicken coop so I keep most of the chicken supplies in the closest corner there. I also have a small "hidey hole" for the occasional pestered chicken that I keep a garbage can of feed, etc. on top of so no precious floor space is used.

Drats! My coop quickly became too small for chicken math.

I have a shed a few feet from my coop that I keep some stuff in, I am also going to builda feed bin behind my coop, right now I have there feed in metal garbage cans that I cover with a tarp, feed stays dry.

I don't have a photo of the inside but if it is a larger coop you can put a 3ftx2f box or trunk inside with all that is needed to supply the coop, or you can have the storage bin on the outside attached to your coop.

@ anmlhs - thanks for the advice. Even with one, do you have problems with them roosting and pooping on them?

@Linn Bee - I was thinking about using a garbage can. Would raccoons be able to knock it over? Not that I have seen any in my yard; however on occassion, I've seen then crossing my street late at night.

@Joe - do you have plans for a feed bin that you could share? Love your coop!

@thecoopbuilder - Love your coop too!

Thank you for sharing!

I don't have plans yet I was figuring Id build a Box that is big enough to fit the three cans, Ill try and make it match the coop looks wise.

We are finishing up the coop now. I am thinking I may try to find some plastic bins that fit under the short poop boards to left of the picture.
