Support Ohio House Bill 124!

Isn't Ohio one of those states where I can be bussed in and declare myself homeless and vote? Some how I doubt I can get away with that.. but bumping this thread to attract attention seems like a good cause
Wow, I hope not. That would nullify the people's true voice and totally ruin the value in our rights to vote.

I do hope this point passes, if it ends up on the ballot.

I have been watching this bill for foreeeevvvver! After they voted to pass the decision down to the Agriculture folks... it just sat there. I figured they were just going to let the bill die... but NOPE! I just checked on it a few days ago and they had their first meeting regarding this bill on NOV 18th 2020!!! So its still moving along! Keep spreading the word and let these folks know why this should Pass!! Hopefully Ohio will inspire other states to follow our lead. Much love to my fellow buckeyes!

so, who should we notify or contact that we support this effort?

There are some here on BYC that are concerned this would threaten their current laws which may have NO Limitations on the number of livestock you are allowed to have. I think the newest version of the bill covers this? Perhaps some of you could give it a read and give your opinions on it?

Pg 3-4

"Applicability of local regulations
The small livestock unit chart does not apply to a person if a local government, by law, allows the number of units of small livestock kept on a parcel of residential property to exceed a ratio of one small livestock unit per one acre of residential property, and the person is in compliance with that law.5 This provision effectively allows a person to keep more small livestock on their property than the person would otherwise be allowed under the bill if authorized by a local authority. For example, if a municipal corporation allows a person to keep chickens and does not restrict the number of chickens that the person may keep, the restrictions established in the small unit livestock chart would not apply."
