I have the same dilemma with an Ideal chicken, except mine was supposed to be a brown sexlink:

I have no idea at all what she is, and no one else seems to know either. The brown sexlink is in front of her - not even close.

But our 'Shirley' is very sweet and the nicest friendliest thing, so I'm not complaining, its just strange that she doesn't look a thing like the breed she's supposed to be - or any other one Ideal offers for that matter!

I wonder how that oddball roo is sneaking into the wrong pens?

Nah, that's not a Gold sex link. That's one of Ideal's BROWN sex links. (i know because I've got both gold and brown sex links.) Ideal gave me several wrong breeds as well, so they just accidently gave you a brown instead of gold sex link
