ok so the babies from tractor supply decided to lay their first eggs today at about 4 months. awesome, but should i change their food? i had them on the grower and was about to go to layer feed. they eat a ton of fresh veggies from work and they get out to free range about 3 hours a day. should i finish the grower then layer or change to layer now? i had the nest box blocked off but i opened it up today. i only got 3 girls, amber links. for storage it seems refreg and they are good for a month and countertop a week? any other advise is appreciated. thanks

If you are nearly out of grower, finish it and switch to layer. Or combine the 2. You are not "supposed" to eat eggs if it is medicated grower, but I do and it's never been aproblem.

and the eggs in the fridge are good for a LONG time. Probably months. I've eaten them for at least 5-6 months out of fridge. Counter, probably several weeks. Just crack them in a bowl first. If they are bad, you will know.
