Long story short, I took one egg from momma and hatched it in the bator. She has more eggs and Im about to go see if they have hatched. If she has more babies can I put this one back with her and take to it like I never took it from her?

It's worth a try. I'd try to sneak it in regardless of whether the others hatch.

My (brief) experience has shown that hens can't count. My Phoenix hatched out 3 chicks. I snuck in TWELVE extras...

12!?!?! Holy canoli! Well I went down there and tried to get it under her but the chick escaped. It juststood there in front of her and looked at me, then at momma. Eventually I lifted her up, and it ran under to be with its sibling. Yes, one hatched last night. She has three more eggs, but I dont know how many more will hatch. I candled one yesterday and I saw swimming. Isnt it too late for that? Im not sure she will wait around that long...
