I keep water in the coop for the chickens at night, do I also need to keep food in there for them or should I keep food in the run outside? Opinion's needs Please thanks

There is no need. Once the birds are on their roosts they won't eat or drink anything. Just be sure they can get to food and water once the sun comes up.

The chickens do not get up at night to eat or drink. Unless you have a light on in there all night then I suppose they might. I leave my waterer sitting there because it would be an unnecessary hassle to remove it and put it back night and morning. I keep my feeder in the coop only. If it's in the run it attracts to many wild birds and other critters wanting a snack. If you have rodent issues you might want to put feeders away at night.

Unless you have lights in the coop during the night the chickens most likely will never leave the roost. Chickens have terrible eye sight in the dark. Only at day break will they leave the roost to eat and drink. My chickens live in my barn so I keep two feeders in there for them. They also have two water buckets inside plus I leave water in their outside run areas. As cafarmgirl points out, it's sometimes best to remove the food during the night to keep rodents away.
