Mari stumbled out her den, her paw twisting painfully. "Hey, you okay?" She asked her mate.

"I'm fine." Aki lied, his body hurt and his eye was swollen shut. The gash would probably scar, blinding that eye forever. He sighed, feeling the sun on his fur for the first time in months.

Mari sat next to him, soaking up the sun. She licked her mate, grooming his blood stained fur.

"Rest." Mari said quietly, licking his ear and neck.

Cain dug in the snow, he snatched his jaws around a white rabbit, killing it. Then he dropped it infront of Mari and Aki.
