Quote: "Faith! We can't leave Taj!" Sylver howled, her movements jerky and frantic. She managed to think clearly for a moment, then said sternly to Ella; "Hold on to my scruff." She directed, and loosened her grip.

"On it's way." Blue said, watching the entrance as if expecting something to appear.

A tiny dalmatian puppy quietly padded in, carrying a fat alley rat and a pigeon in his jaws. "H-here, Blue..."

Blue snatched the fresh kill from the pup. "Now get out." The puppy scurried out.
Mutilar looked at the pup, and he grinned. Quick... easy... kill it! a voice in his head howled. Mutilar smacked at his face with a paw, but his other paw intercepted the blow and pinned the offending paw down. The voice in his head died down, and Mutilar's eyes stopped burning with that glassy crazed look they got when he was on the kill. "We will not kill Blue's forces." he commanded himself. "We will... lay down and go to sleep." And with that, he rested his head on the floor, the pendulous skin hanging about his jowls spreading in a puddle-like fashion.

(I really love how Mutilar's turning out! He's scary, and almost really evil!)

Ella dropped to the muddy ground as her new mother's grip was released. Upon hitting the muddy ground, she scrambled towards Sylver, and clamped her little jaws down as hard as she could on her scruff.

Faith turned around to face Sylver, making her face look hard and neutral in spite of her sickening concern for her friend. "You shouldn't risk Ella's life for it, Sylver! Taj has gotten himself out of worse!" she barked in reply. Her heart rate was climbing as the wind became louder and the water poured into the den with more ferocity than it had before. The steps Faith had carefully been working on were already eroded away, she noticed with frustration. "We can come back to find Taj--AFTER we find a safe shelter for the storm!" She stared at Sylver, looking strong and brave, though she was visibly shaking from the cold and wet, and a little bit from devastation as well.

((Be right back--chickens! :D ))

Kage flattened his ears, his movements stiffening and he stifled a growl. He was loyal to Blue.
Odio grinned a deceiving grin, oblivious to Kage's disapproval, and continued raving. "And he has puppies working for him. How dumb and weak are you when you have puppies working for you?" he howled.

Sylver shrunk and winced as Ella's tiny puppy teeth sank through her skin. She shook it off, mentally, and nodded to Faith; though her insides were screaming furiously at the she-dog. She tore into the buddy bank, "Faith, dig!" She snarled as a new wave of water poured into the den.

"But... he's all alone in the dark, and there are monsters out there!" Ella wailed. "What if a monster gets him before we find him?" and she began to bawl. She held onto Sylver's scruff, but in her mind, the had already begun to cogitate letting go and running after Taj.

(Pipd---have I gotten better at writing??? :D)

As they crossed over into GoldenPack, Kage decided to change the subject when he saw Sedna watching some pigeons peck at bread someone had thrown. "Oh, hey, there's that girl you like."

Odio stared in veneration. "She's so beautif---HEY, don't you dare make fun! I only like her! On second thought, can you make the trip alone? I would like to do something real quick." he spoke in a low voice. Now that he was no longer ranting about Blue being unfit to be Alpha, he was taking notice of the weather. The rain had stopped, and the air was still. He smiled. Now it was feasible that he could visit Sedna alone.

Kage gave him a knowing look. "Yeah, sure." He replied, padding down to the pet store.
