Grimm heard her leave, his eyes never leaving Delano's. The massive dog climbed to his feet before Grimm, though he stood tall and brave before his enemy. A frown on his maw, he narrowed his eyes and just stared coldly. Delano looked furious. Bad news for him, but he knew he would have to make a run for it, anyway.

"I will kill you in her place," Delano snarled, feeling confident that this dog had no chance in a fight against him. "Jargo would love to know I killed a traitor like you."

"I'm sure he would," Grimm replied calmly. "Maybe he'd like to know that you let that she-dog go, too."

This made Delano's blood run cold. He had failed! He had failed because of Grimm! And now he was mad! His fur raising, he bared his teeth, and he lunged for Grimm, though he was skillfully dodged by the smaller and more maneuverable dog.

"Best of luck, Delano," Grimm said, sounding like he actually meant it. Then, he turned tail and ran. He knew where he would go. Like many other ex-Jargoans before him, he headed to the territory to the north, toward Willow pack...

(Poor Viridian... I feel so bad for him, now... but, will he ever remember what happened, and realize that Teal's a filthy, lying dirtbag? And I wonder how he'll react when he sees Rod dead...)

Endigo towered over the unconscious Jargo, who now stirred again. His body was limp as a ragdoll, and he was clearly too weak to fight... but Tarro wasn't even burnt out, yet. Stalking up to Endigo and slamming into him with his chest, he stood over his crippled father, fangs bared in a snarl that threatened much more bloodshed if he came closer. Rod's cold body, not yet stiff, was proof that Tarro had no problem with merciless killing.

Snarling and snapping his jaws, he advanced on Endigo, closing in for the kill. "Tarro... Stop..." Jargo moaned. Immediately under control, Tarro straightened his posture and stood, stock stiff, while Jargo struggled to his feet.

Mystery and Teal arrived at the scene in time to see Tarro back off. Teal ambled forward, in a defensive posture. It was unclear whether he was going over to join Jargo or to attack him, and his piercing eyes betrayed nothing of his plan.

Mystery, meanwhile, had gone completely still at the sight of the dead dog there. Rod, the Alpha that had accepted him onto Golden pack, the dog that gave him so much trust... It was Mystery's fault that he had died... It was Mystery's fault...

He tried not to let it get to him, taking a few steps toward Endigo, though he stopped short, knowing he was no longer trusted. Instead, he just stood there and glared toward Jargo and Tarro, just waiting for one of them to make the wrong move.

Rex and the others had hauled Snowy, whom had slipped into a sort of coma, and was now pacing the front of her Snowy's den, his maw creased with worry, his eyes filled with sorrow. He just knew he was going to lose her! He was a sorry excuse for a father! Pacing about, his ears pricked as he heard the sound of a rapidly approaching dog.

Silently, he crept to the border, where he waited for the dog to arrive. Long before he could see it, though, he could smell it: it was a Jargoan!

Quote: Jargo staggered to his feet and looked at Endigo with his murderous red eyes. "My whole life, I desired nothing more than to kill you, brother! I have dreamed of it, trained myself for it, and, many times, attempted to do it! Somehow, through all of my attempts, you manage to survive, like a cockroach!

"Well, now you will see your end. I will make sure that you have no chance of survival! You will die!" Jargo snarled his wrathful speech to his brother, all the while pacing back and forth with fury.

Harli appeared, slinking through the tall grasses. Her maw was twisted into a murderous smile, her eyes locked upon her target. Endigo. It was now that her dream would unfold. She would defeat Endigo, and win back Jargo's affections. Her body trembled in anticipation, waiting to rip Endigo to shreds.

Grimm slowed as he approached the border, glancing back. Delano had followed him, and he knew it. That dog, big as he was, was skilled at staying quiet and hidden... He was not paying much attention as he stepped closer and closer toward the border between Jargoan land and Willow pack land.

But he was aware enough that he stopped just before he set foot over the border. His eyes scanned the horizon. No one seemed to be there. He knew Delano would not follow him if he crossed. He also knew that he could be attacked for trespassing if he went any further. He did, after all, carry the scent of what was possibly the most hated pack in the city...

Grimm had to take the risk, though. A chill ran up his spine. Delano was definitely near, and Grimm stood no chance at fighting him. Hesitantly, carefully, quietly... Grimm crossed the border, and turned around to look back at the Jargoan lands. His home for many moons... But he would not be part of the senseless killing any longer.

Looking up toward the sky, he made a silent vow. He would not take another life again, at least not one of another dog. With that in his mind, he turned back around and looked into the Willow pack territory, the place he hoped would give him his new chance at a good life.

Endigo looked over at something; a golden redish dog slunk through the grass, but was concealed from him. He growled, leaping to his feet and lunging to attack whoever it was.

Teal watched silently, coming to a halt and not making it obvious whose side he was on. Mystery, however, approached Endigo, though he kept his distance. "No," he said, his ears falling back. "You'll have to take us down first. Teal?" His eyes moved briefly to his brother, who paused... and then at last came to Mystery's side.

"Sorry, Jargo," said the blue-eyed dog mockingly. "I don't need you anymore."
