Quote: Rowan smiled. "Sure; you might as well, since you're gonna live here!" he said with a duck of his head. He turned and began loping away, gesturing for her to follow.
Almaz curled her lip in a snarl and rose to her feet. The dogs bristled and did the same. She rose her voice and her eyes burned like fire as she said, I already am one... I simply would like to have an Alpha Male by my side, but it looks to me like my first choice is a little uncertain..." She said that with such fierceness and anger in her tone that she sounded likely to rip out a dog's throat any second, now.
Dixie glanced at the sun; it was still fairly high in the sky, showing that it was around noon. "Um, yeah, I have a few minutes." she said with a wag of her tail. "So, Mystery, what do you want to do, now?" she asked, her brown eyes sparkling with joy. For once, she was finally truly happy. She was, after all, finally free from her guilt!Mystery laughed, then turned back to his can of food, eating it nearly as voraciously as Dixie had eaten hers. Sitting back, he smiled contentedly and looked out into space, daydreaming for a moment. Then he looked to Dixie, his eyes bright and filled with joy. "So do you have any more time or is your break over?" he asked, with the hopes that she could stick around at least a little longer before returning to sentry duty.
(LOL!)(Alright, I have come the difficult decision that I need to 'kill' off some of my characters. Hard, I know, but it needs to be done. XD)
Saffron's eyes filled with concern as she neared the den; the scent of sickness and infection was heavy in the air and the dark, musty den was definitely not doing the ill dog any good. She entered the den cautiously and quietly, making sure that the dog would not attack her. Seeing as how it was wounded and vulnerable, it was a likely possibility, and she knew she had to stay cautious. Sniffing the air, she detected the presence only of she and Mantis, though she figured it wouldn't be long till another dog showed up. Didn't this pack have a medical dog?! "Hello...?" she said, her voice echoing in the mostly empty den. "My name is Saffron; I'm a medical dog. I've come to help you,"
Quote: Saffron frowned in surprise, a curious way of showing that emotion. "Well that's odd," she said. "Unless it just hurts for her to talk, that wound shouldn't prevent her from speaking... But I figure you're probably right; it is fairly deep." Shaking her head, she said, "Well, we'd best get her to my den,"
Ruby suppressed a squeal of excitement. As she ran after him, she began to think. Why was she so happy about going on a patrol... maybe it was because it was something unfamiliar. She hadn't gone on many patrols when she was a young pup, so this excited her. She had also gotten into a daily routine while living in the allies; running from dag catchers, hiding from street dogs, searching garbage cans for food, or being stoned by gangs were the daily things she had to go through. She welcomed pack life with her whole being.
