Saffron finished up with her herbs, then stalked after Mantis in the direction he had gone. Upon seeing him in his den, she said, "Show me to your little friend that you keep checking on." Saffron's brown eyes were so calm and gentle, flickering gently with life. It was clear that she would not harm a living dog, even one whom didn't belong in the pack she lived in. "Yes, I know you are hiding someone: You reek of infection each time you leave that den, and yet you are perfectly healthy." she added, just to boost his trust in her that she was not spying.
(Thanks. I think I'm going to add into her form that she is very wise; she is!)
Quote: Dixie looked at him and knew that she was going to pay for her actions by him pushing her away... She cried a bit more, her sobs and the ringing in her ears. A gentle nudge in her shoulder urged her to look up and she looked up into the face of Mystery, ever forgiving Mystery, and his reply made her heart warm a bit. "... Really?" she said.

Quote: "Don't worry, I have plenty of stamina about me; enough to get me there and back." Saffron replied softly, her eyes twinkling as she did. "And nothing you say or do will stop me from helping a fellow dog out," she added quickly, her gaze turning firm and determined as she said this.
Quote: Dixie smiled and rested her head on his neck. "I love you," she whispered in his ear as she did so. Laughing, she said, "Eat your own food, ya horse!" before finally beginning to wolf down the canned dog food. It was so delicious, meaty chunks sitting in thick, rich beef gravy and hinted with a special sweet flavor from the carrot chunks and peas in it. She sighed happily, running a tongue over her chops as she did.
(Sorry that took SO LONG; I am looking at dog breeds with Anastasia, because she wants to decide on the right breed before replacing ole' Lucky (the dog that got hit), and I'm helping her out.)
Saffron's eyes filled with concern as she neared the den; the scent of sickness and infection was heavy in the air and the dark, musty den was definitely not doing the ill dog any good. She entered the den cautiously and quietly, making sure that the dog would not attack her. Seeing as how it was wounded and vulnerable, it was a likely possibility, and she knew she had to stay cautious. Sniffing the air, she detected the presence only of she and Mantis, though she figured it wouldn't be long till another dog showed up. Didn't this pack have a medical dog?! "Hello...?" she said, her voice echoing in the mostly empty den. "My name is Saffron; I'm a medical dog. I've come to help you,"Mantis nodded. "Okay," he replied. Still looking a bit uncertain, he started on his way through the city and toward the park. He paused at the Willow pack border, looking around and making sure Saffron was keeping up. Then, timidly, he crossed the border and headed for the den that the she-dog was resting in. He made sure to take a quick glance around before he approached the den and motioned toward it with one paw. "She's in there," he said quietly, his eyes filled with concern.
(Yeah, sure!)(Hannah, could you bump the posts I've missed?)
