Endigo smiled. "He escaped the pound... but..." Endigo's face clouded... "He got clobbered in the fight, and after I got taken captive... I... didn't see him again." he looked at Sonya with a worried face.((I'm sitting here thinking, why isn't she replying?! ...And then I noticed it's because I need to reply.

Sonya sighed with relief. "That's normal for him..." she replied, smiling. "Thank you so much. I wish I could see him again."
Meanwhile, Swampson was sitting grumpily with Taj in a small grove of trees out of sight. Taj had returned not long ago with a meal of a few trimmings from a steak and what was left of a burger without the bun, which was supposed to be a meal for both the dogs, as well as Faith. So without having a full meal, and being forced to wait for Faith, who had yet to return from her scouting trip, Swampson was feeling particularly grouchy.
There was a rustling in the nearby bushes, and then Faith returned. "Come," she said quietly. "We're close to a pack's territory. I think they're non-hostile." Before Swampson could object, she turned and headed off.
"We better go, old dude," Taj said, and he was on his feet and after Faith in a heartbeat.
Swampson rolled his eyes. Those two had too much energy. He climbed to his feet and limped after them.
Before long, they crossed the border between the loner lands and Golden pack's territory. Faith stopped short, nearly causing both Swampson and Taj to collide with her. "It's customary to howl for permission to cross the territory," she explained, knowing Swampson would chew her out otherwise.
Swampson shrugged and nodded. Taj just smiled stupidly. Faith gave a light sigh. Males... She tipped her head back and her howl rang out over the territory, a call for the Alpha to come if he pleased.
Suddenly, Endigo leaped to his feet, his muscles flexing underneath his skin and fur: a howl that beckoned him to come rang out through the pack territory. He ran out of the den, en route for the howler.
