Taj made a sound in an attempt to communicate, though all that came out was a muffled, "Mffrf..." He motioned toward the fish, moving slowly along in a group and minding their own business. Taj gave her a nod, then streamlined himself again and swam straight for the fish, waiting until the last moment to open his jaws...

((There ya go. :) ))

((No, he's gone.

He went into this area thick with thorn bushes and I couldn't follow. Hope that keeps him safe overnight...))

Quote: Sylver shot forwards, and surged ahead of Taj, her jaws open. A silver fish wriggled between her teeth, and she could feel it getting through. She clamped her jaws down, but all that she felt was the snapping of her teeth. Lost it.

Taj's jaws closed, just catching the tail fin of a fish, though it wriggled free of his grip, its tail in tatters. Taj watched it go, then signaled to Sylver to resurface. He swam upward until he splashed above the water, taking in another breath.

"You were so close, man!" Taj said in a complimentary voice, paddling in circles and figure-eights energetically. "Wanna try again?" he asked with a wink

Sylver gasped for breath, her eyes gleaming. "Oh yeah! I'm going to bring a fish home!" She vowed, and ducked under again.

Taj laughed. "That's the spirit!" he barked. And then he took a deep breath and disappeared beneath the surface again. He saw the school of fish--it was the same one because the fish with the tattered tail was still there. His eyes narrowed. He wasn't sure where Sylver had gone, but he knew he wanted that fish. He headed straight for it, his eyes locked on its tattered tail.
