Taj got to his feet, looking less frightened. "Hey, thanks, bro," he said quietly. Faith shushed him.

"So does that mean we can stay?" she asked, relaxing now that Rex had turned away. She certainly didn't want to step out of bounds as far as what she could and couldn't do on the territory, and this included approaching the dens where the other dogs were.

Flag pounced on Daisy. "Hey! Cut it out!" He squeaked, and tried to make her let go.
Layla chuckled, and sat down, watching her grandpups.

"I just hope they get here soon." Harli murmured, then looked up at him, a serious look in her eyes. "Jargo, do you think I-" She looked down again, as if trying to re-position her words. "I um, will be a good mom?" She asked finally.
Daisy flipped onto her back, and squealed. "Go away!" Snowy ran up to her grandma and looked at her. "I missed you." she said. Butch just sat by and watched the others.

Jargo smiled. "I'm sure you will. It's only your first time."

"Yes. You can do as you please, and when your chance to prove yourself comes, you shall prove yourself." Rex said. He returned to Melanie's side.

Flag pounced on her, and tugged at her ear. "Oh, I missed you too sweetie." Layla smiled, nuzzling her.
Smokey sat beside him. He was calm and reserved. He didn't really want to much attention, so he just watched.

"Oh, I hope so." Harli moaned. "I just, well, feel like I might mess up."

Dipping her head respectfully, Faith thanked him, then turned to Taj. "Let's go introduce ourselves. And don't make a fool of yourself," she warned, though a small smile was on her maw. She cautiously approached Melanie and bowed her head. "Hello. My name is Faith," she introduced, smiling almost sheepishly.

Taj paused and watched the pups at play, then smiled stupidly to Rex. "Cute kids, bro. They yours?" he asked, sitting and making himself at home nearby.

Faith shook her head and rolled her eyes. "Don't mind Taj. He can be, well, an idiot." She managed a small chuckle, though it faded as she awkwardly stood before these dogs she didn't know. It would take time, but Faith had confidence that she and Taj would soon belong.

Daisy bit his nose. "I missed you more." Snowy said.

"We won't mess up; these pups wont be able to ask for better parents." Jargo reassured her.
