Dipping her head respectfully, Faith thanked him, then turned to Taj. "Let's go introduce ourselves. And don't make a fool of yourself," she warned, though a small smile was on her maw. She cautiously approached Melanie and bowed her head. "Hello. My name is Faith," she introduced, smiling almost sheepishly.

Taj paused and watched the pups at play, then smiled stupidly to Rex. "Cute kids, bro. They yours?" he asked, sitting and making himself at home nearby.

Faith shook her head and rolled her eyes. "Don't mind Taj. He can be, well, an idiot." She managed a small chuckle, though it faded as she awkwardly stood before these dogs she didn't know. It would take time, but Faith had confidence that she and Taj would soon belong.
Rex padded up to Taj. "Don't tell them; they aren't mine; their biological father was killed by Golden Pack." Rex said. "I sort of adopted them, if you will."

((Oh, goodness, sorry that took so long! My brother wanted to watch an episode of Doctor Who with me--I've been sitting here with this post open for almost an hour now, watching TV. ))

Taj smiled. "No problem, bro. Congrats," he replied with a wink. He turned his head to watch the pups play for a moment longer, until it occured to him what Rex had said. "Wait--slow down there, man!" His eyes wide, he looked back toward Rex. "Did you say Golden pack?"

(That's fine. I have to go now, though.

I'll be on tommorow, K? 'Night!)
Rex turned with a slight look of murder in his eyes. "Yes. A mutt named Everest, and their leader, Endigo, killed him before I could help him. This pack is dedicated to their destruction."

((Aw, good night! :/ ))

Taj stared for a moment, blinking slowly, then stood. "I, uh, have to go, bro," he said, and then he walked stiffly to Faith. "Fay, I think we need to talk..."

Raising a brow, Faith took a few steps aside with Taj. "What?" she asked hurriedly. "You know, you aren't helping us look any less suspicious."

"It's about the old dude--Alpha bro over there says those Golden pack dudes killed a guy," Taj gasped.

"You... You're serious?" Faith shook her head. "Taj, I think you misunderstood."

"No! Seriously! He said his bro was killed by this other bro and some guy!" Taj's brow furrowed in confusion at his own statement. "A-Anyway, we need to go find the old dude, Fay!"

"Taj, Swampson is fine. Just settle down and relax," Faith told him with a disapproving shake of her head. Then, she returned to where Rex and Melanie stood.

Taj watched her go, his maw ajar. Snapping his mouth shut, he looked around. Maybe he could confide in Rex..? Would the Alpha dog understand if he needed to go to Golden pack and check in with a friend? Even Taj knew that wasn't a good idea. His head buzzing with thoughts, he stood there, looking confused.

Daisy bit his nose. "I missed you more." Snowy said.

"We won't mess up; these pups wont be able to ask for better parents." Jargo reassured her.
Flag snarled, and shoved his paws against her chest. "Stop Daisy!" He squeaked. "Oh, I bet not." Layla chuckled, and licked Snowy's nose.

"Well I know you won't mess up. But me? Well, that's a different story." Harli murmured, and looked at the ground.

Melanie watched the two dogs with concern, and distrust. She didn't know where they had come from, or who they were exactly. She looked at Rex, trying to read his expression.

Daisy snapped at Flag, and started growling and biting frantically. Snowy was oblivious to the fighting pups.

Jargo smiled. "Don't worry; we'll be perfect parents. It's just an instinct that you don't know you have until you have pups."

Rex gestured for Melanie to come, and he padded up to Taj. "They only killed Banner because he was a Jargoan, and we were in a fight. The pack members are safe." he smiled.

Flag growled back, and tried to dodge Daisy's bites. Layla padded over to them, shoved Flag off with her nose, and picked Daisy back on her feet. "You stop that! Both of you!" She said sternly.

Harli staggered to her feet, "I hope so." She said quietly, rubbing her head on his neck.
