Dixie stared at Mystery in disbelief as he fainted... Seriously?! she thought. What if I needed protection from something? But she knew that she was fine and she knew it was Mystery's first time seeing pups born, so she should have expected it from him.Mystery's nose had gone pale as the first pup came, and just as Dixie was telling him to come over, his legs wobbled, and he fainted.
Just then, Cerise approached the den opening and peered in. "I heard the news from Light. Is there anything you need?" she asked gently. Cerise had been there when her little sister was born, and so she had observed the process and knew what to expect. She noticed the first pup had been born and stayed back in case Dixie wanted her privacy, though she couldn't help but roll her eyes when she noticed Mystery, out cold. Males.
(Haha, really? For quite some time now, actually. I swear though, it stayed longer than 6 months... I think. XD)(Oh wow, Silkies! I just now realized that your golden feather membership is gone! O.O How long's it been that way? LOL!)
Dixie nodded and said, "Thank you," before reaching down and giving the pup a gentle caress with her rough tongue, smoothing out its inky black fur. The pup mewled and squirmed a bit and Dixie ticked it back against her belly, making sure that it still had the teat. Turning to Cerise to answer the she-dog's statement, she said, "I'll make sure to do so if I need anything," Settling back into the nest with a happy sigh, despite the continual pains, she waited for Mystery to come-to. She was finally a mother...Cerise smiled. "I would love to," she replied, taking that as an invitation to come in. Her pawsteps near silent, she slipped into the den, blinking warmly down at the tiny pup snuggled up beside Dixie. "She is beautiful," Cerise said in a light tone, unable to take her eyes off the pup. It hadn't been that long since her little sister was that same size... My, how time passed... Sighing softly, she stood there, keeping a respectful distance for the new mother. Noting the herbs that Mystery had laid out on the floor, she nodded, her reddish-brown gaze moving back to Dixie. "You just let me know if there's anything you need, okay?" she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
((Is that my girl or yours that has been born?))
