Rowan looked at his paws and sighed. "And that's why I have to do this: because Tarro is a descendant of Jargo and will be just as ruthless and cruel as his father. I have to do this for the sake of my pack and others for miles around, before that red-eyed demon takes over everything and makes our lives miserable." he concluded, though he looked very confused. He looked at the sky and realized that the first streaks of dawn were spreading through the purple sky like watercolors. He rose to his feet, realizing how much time had slipped away from him, and began trudging off in the direction of Jargoan Pack.

Almaz's smirk grew as she watched Everest. Then she turned to the dogs. "Everest is now your Alpha and you are under his command as well as mine." she announced. Her fiery blue-eyed gaze was cold but calm as she addressed them firmly, her stance that of a dog who knows how great his power is. That said, she whirled around and marched into the dens after Everest.
Ruby nodded, a grim expression washing over her face. "I can help." she offered, all traces of doubt or puppyness gone from her voice. She sounded grown and mature. "If he is a threat to your pack, I will gladly give my life to protect it." she gave a curt nod, and picked up her pace to join him.

Everest glanced behind him, a sly smile coming over his face. "Almaz, how is the prey in our territory?" he asked, a flirty grin now on his face.

Quote: Rowan nodded. "Then let us go and challenge him," he said calmly, taking the lead and waiting for her to fall in stride alongside him.

Almaz smiled. "Very good; so good me and my dogs, now your followers, were eating well each and every day. But the prey is beginning to diminish..." she said.

Ruby nodded, moving into her graceful stride. She was determined to help Rowan, even if it cost her her life.

"Then cut your rations on half!" Everest snarled, bristling. He poked his head in one of the dens, scanning it.

Quote: Rowan stopped at the border of Jargoan Pack and let out a long, low howl, summoning the Alpha. (Now we have to wait for OwlLover...)

A din rose from the crowd of dogs was easily heard, but Almaz's sharp gaze and loud growl silenced them. They clearly respected--or feared--her. "Yes, of course," she said. "But that will not solve the problem; you will eventually need to challenge other packs," she added, slightly disgusted with him for his outraged outburst.

Ruby felt her heart lurch. What would happen now? Would there be a huge fight? Would he submit calmly? Surely not. She trembled, waiting apprehensively. (Haha, okay....)

"That will come soon." Everest assured her, nodding. "And for that, you must all be ready." he smiled at the dogs around him, flicking his tail in glee.

Some of the dogs wanted to snarl, but knew that Almaz's gaze glared down at them. She knew them so well she could see right through them. Finally, one dog piped up: it was Arch, a dog whom often rebelled. "Yeah, but, like, I don't want to give my loyalty to you, so... No. I will not bow to you," he said, sneering defiantly. Almaz whispered to Everest, "The penalty of this kind of rebellion is death,"

(Ugh, I hate it when this happens! XD)

Everest instantly stiffened, narrowing his eyes. "You'll want to take that back in 5 seconds." he snarled, then charged at Arch with incredible agility for his size. He opened his massive jaws, and soon was almost upon the dog.

Arch glared at him and snapped, "I wont," before snapping his jaws at Everest's face. "And you're just a flaw in my plan to kill Almaz," he added, spitting Almaz's name.
Everest growled, "Your plan has failed." He lunged at Arch, battering the dog with his large paws. (Hope that was okay...)
