The man reached into his other pocket, pulled a leash out, and tied a noose behind his back, making sure she didn't run away because of his movements. He just wanted to get her to safety.

Sonya waited patiently for more food, her tail wagging ever-so-slightly as she did. She tilted her head as she watched the human do something behind his back, though she didn't think much of it.

Kira snarled, and barked at Sonya, warning her.  She darted in, trying to get Sonya's attention, without getting to close to the dog catcher.

((I might be able to get a few more posts in tonight. ;) ))

The dogcatcher gently lifted the loop, but held a large piece of the chicken burrito, trying draw her attention away from the noose.

Sonya watched the burrito hungrily, but her attention was drawn away by Kira out of the corner of her eye. She hopped to her feet and looked toward the unfamiliar dog, her eyes wide. "Wh-what?" she asked, looking alarmed. Distracted as she was, this left her open to being leashed by the dogcatcher...

The dogcatcher could see she was about to run. He hated to do so with such a trusting animal, but... he slipped the loop over her head, and tightened it!

Sonya looked back toward the human in shock, then lurched backward until she reached the end of the leash. She pulled and writhed and shook her head, though all that ended up doing was tighten the leash further around her neck. This wasn't the end of the world, she thought to herself as she began to claw at the earth in an attempt to get away. No, this had happened once before already and she had gotten loose then! Out of desperation, when clawing at the ground hadn't worked, she whirled around and began chewing the leash, though it was much too thick for her to gnaw through. What was she gonna do?! She looked hopefully toward the other dogs, her ears back and her tail tucked.
