Delano's paw slammed down hard on the sharp stone, but he only tilted his head. It was clear by his body language that it had hurt, and yet his grin only grew. He blindly lunged downward at Stone, his jaws wide open.

Melanie trembled. "Never." She whispered to Banner's motionless body.

"Why is the sky blue?" Buck laughed. "I just love being evil." He chuckled, staring murderously at Endigo.

Harli sighed. "I wish I coulda' licked him good." She whimpered, leaning against him. (Licked as in beating up. Not licked like licking.

)

Layla duck under a bush, trembling with fear. She didn't want to go, she couldn't.

Rex understood her grief. "He was like a brother to me..." he choked.
"So, the sky loves being blue, and Buck the Demon likes being evil?" Endigo mused sarcastically.
"Oh, trust me---when you're better, that dog will wish he'd never met you!" Jargo chuckled.
Rex hoped Melanie wouldn't see Layla. He didn't Jargo to kill her for being disloyal, and he knew that Melanie would try to run away with her mother.
