Nessa limped quickly to her special spot no dog had seen except her. She felt a drop of rain hit her nose. Perfect. Now they can't track me! She wiggled under the crevice of the rock and entered a small cozy cave. She looked to make sure her stash of food was still there, and settled down- to wait. Her luck would be that the rain would wash away her scent, and nobody could find her. Jargo wouldn't be able to get her, and Del Endigo would kill himself rescuing her if she needed it. What Nessa didn't think of was how worried Del Endigo would be when he discovered she was gone. She curled up happily into a ball and fell into a deep sleep.

(Man, you/she are/is smart!)

Del Endigo sighed. He knew the pack was not going to be able to eat much now. There was hardly any food in their land. He figured Nessa would have gone back to the den by now. He needed her company.

Jargo, flattered by her remark, lifted his head, and looked proud. "Oh, well, that's true. I mean, what do they expect from a strong pack?"

"Yep," Sedna nodded, grinning. She then bowed, "I am at your service, Alpha Jargo. You can do whatever you want with me."

Jargo was even more flattered. He grinned. Then, he heard a loud clap of thunder. He flattened his ears against his head. "Well..." he said, "We'd better get to cover before we get drenched!" then he lead Sedna---who he was rather impressed with--- back to the den.
