Jargo was in a pair of bushes right behind Layla and Scout. He had been watching them for quite some time. "Oh, is she in love? How sweet! Too bad I don't easily let go of a pack member." he growled. He planned on killing Scout and taking Layla.

(Chicken Tamer, is it okay if Jargo temporarily knocks Scout out while he dognaps Layla? That will make Jargo think he's killed Scout. Then Scout can come and rescue Layla.)

Melanie tottled through the bushes, and saw her mom. She hurried along, not knowing she just past Jargo.

Black Magic shook her head, "no. If I die so be it, no pup deserves what this Blue is putting Mel through."

"I agree," Lightning said. Her nose twitched as she caught the scent on a rogue wind of strange dogs and distant voices.

Endigo was running back to the church den, when he stopped dead in his tracks. His blood turned cold, his heart skipped a beat, and chills ran up and down his spine: he had just seen the ghost of Nessa. He began to feel tears prickling at his eyes, and he, as if in a trance took 3 steps forward in an unusual, zombie-like motion.

Nessa yipped when she saw her mate. She cocked her head at his unusual acting. "Endigo?" She barked and trotted closer.

Jargo realized he was about to miss his opportunity. He lunged out of the bushes and landed on Scout! "Not so fast!" he snarled, slamming Scout's head into a rock. Blood trickled in a red stream down the rock. Scout fell, limp. Jargo heard Layla gasp. His red eyes burning, Jargo turned around. He leaped at Layla, and his jaws closed around her scruff. (How is he going to get her to move? She's basically his size!)

Nessa yipped when she saw her mate. She cocked her head at his unusual acting. "Endigo?" She barked and trotted closer.

Endigo heard her voice, and was shocked. She was not a ghost; she was very much alive! He leaped at her, whimpering with ahppiness, and nuzzling her. "Nessa! Oh, Nessa! Jargo said he'd killed you!"

Layla growled in anger, and twisted, trying to break free. Melanie trotted into view, and gasped when she saw her mother fighting. She growled, and barreld at Jargo, but tripped, and landed on her belly with a yelp.
