Jargo felt Banner's teeth close on his throat, and he knew that Banner could sense his fear. But Jargo smothered his fear with evil. "IF you don't leave the pack NOW, I will KILL you!" he roared, rearing up, dislodging Banner.

Banner sensed Jargo's fear, but knew he was basking it with anger. He also knew he couldn't move, much less run away. So, he changed his tactics. He lunged again at Jargo's throat, snapping his jaws closed, then opening them again, aiming for Jargo's throat.

Jargo laughed wickedly, danced away, then bit down on Banner's leg. He stared into Banner's eyes, and said "What happened to you? One day you're my best pack member, and the next day you're my enemy... give up, Banner. Give up, and join me again."

Banner closed his eyes, his head jerked back trying to handle the pain. "I...." He gasped. "You... Jargo.... I.... did noth.... nothing." Banner panted, blood streaming over his eyes in little rivets. He was losing blood fast, and was fighting the urge to faint, because if he did, Jargo would surely kill him. "I'll j.... join you.... again... but not.... because I ga..... gave up."
