My buckeye hen has been chasing and domineering the other hens lately. Maybe it's to do with summer. LOL. She is so so with her egg production. Only giving in the spring now the last 2 years. I contemplated making roost space with her. But then I noted a dead mouse in the yard yesterday. I know it's her....She didn't eat it which surprised me. But she is my mouser...almost sure of it. I value that trait.

Anyone who is not going to New Ulm for the bird swap on Saturday is welcome to help us re-shingle our house. We are making a camping festival of it. Family and friends are welcome to bring their campers/tents into our yard for a fun filled day of shingling and miscellaneous other duties. Compensation will be in the form of food and adult beverages. See the age chart below to get your duty.

Age:
0-5 years- Help butcher chickens and clean the coop.
6-12 years- Pick up shingles and nails from the ground.
13-49 years - Get up on the roof and tear off/reshingle
50+ years - Help butcher chickens, prepare the meals.

Oh no....4 out of the 5 of them are farm kids. They can handle anything if you give them a Little Tykes shovel. LOL

Jerry is 90.1 where They play the big band stuff? I have to say I have an older soul and have in my own music collection several CD's of Big Band collections, Louis Armstrong, etc. I love it as backdrop music for dinner parties, etc.

After we said our vows, DH and I had a base player and pianist at our wedding play "It Had to be You". LOL. Love that music. As a child of the 80's even.

Nope that is the tribe's station out of Walker . They play the real tribal stuff about quitting time . We are after all on the reservation . FNX television is first nation experiment .

I Love Layers I am sorry if I was snarky as ralphy put it.  I don't like animals to suffer, I don't like to remove their heads either but will if the bird is sick or injured badly.

I got in the house after volleyball practice, I went to go ask my dad, and found him napping on the living room floor.
I went and asked my mom something then she said "Don't bother dad" i ask why, apparently Rodney, our neighbor was combining and a fire started so my dad had to go help put I out, whether the fire department couldn't get there or they wanted to save as much as they could I don't know.
In other words I have to wait til he gets up to dispose of the chick cause I want him to help me.

Also on Friday we find out positions and squads in volleyball, as long as I'm on JV playing middle I'm fine.
