I thought about going to the fair, for about 12 seconds. I am very anti-crowds so I decided to stay home.

My mom uses them got baking. My dad is allergic to them, so we don't fry, scramble etc so that he doesn't he them and then get sick for a week or two

large cherry . 3 of those are pink and golf ball size from a volunteer plant.. So a accidental hybrid . I had Brandywine pink in that area last and cherry about 40 feet away . I will save seed . I love pink tomato .About 2 gallons in that 5 gallon bucket .

Wow Jerry. I am 7-10 days from that kind of bounty.

I did get my first Roma yesterday though. I was going to make salsa, but a 1 tomato salsa has tendency to be kind of small. However, it would only take 4 chips to eat it...



I just ordered a couple mushroom books and a guide to edible wild plants book. I figure I might need help right out in the woods when I go hunting shrooooooooms...

Food is good and healthy too.....


Parking is another thing. There is no way to spin the traffic as good...... 35 years ago I was forced to work the Falcon Heights area and the State Fair traffic drove me nuts. People were driving the freeways that had no business on the freeways...It was scary. The parking there is the same. I get the Shakes just thinking about driving down there.





And, I lost a sport yesterday and again today. I do not lose any others at this age than them... It is so frustrating as I want them so badly to do well.

I just have to think it is a by product of the inbreeding I have done to get them. Hopefully, I can get the survival problem worked out next year. I am still not sure I have a hen to breed them too. I will just be breeding to their cousins or half sisters with the white gene and getting 50% sports instead of the 100% I want.


I am going to get a picture of the rooster I showed BC and Jerry, it has changed so much in the last couple weeks, It is absolutely stunning.
