Can you just kick him out of the hen house, make him live in another building, the corn crib, the barn or a dog house until he gets older and wiser?
Whew so many late night posts to get through before I could say the proper:
Good Morning.
Looking at the time stamps, I think I could have won this morning had I not taken time to brew myself some nectar of the gods. However, when I sip said nectar, I know it was worth throwing the match to EJB for the it.
I got rid of my late season accidental hatch guineas last night. I called the female version of Holm's that lives near Monticello. She was going to sneak them under a Cerami (sp) that has been sitting on fake eggs for 4 weeks. Hopefully they will take to each other. One had died before she got here, so she has two "chicks" for her hen.
The poor thing will have a mental breakdown before it gets rid of those keets. When they get larger than her it should be interesting to see if they follow her or murder her. Guineas can go either way.
I am thinking I should arrange a marriage between her and Holm, I would never run out of a place to get rid of my excess birds if that happened.
It appears the "monsoon" season has returned here to the Banana belt. I am going to work in the brooder shed cleaning and throwing things. I also am going to built some smaller cages that I can set into my truck and trailer for hauling birds to sale in.
I will be taking some to Hutch on the 17th, I hope. I was thinking about this weekend in Battle Lake but I have that funeral to attend.
Time to stop typing, I need more nectar.
I don't need to get married yet

Morning . Good news or sort of . Went out before bedtime with a flashlight and shotgun . Saw 6 coons and shot 2 . The rest scattered before I could shoot more . It is tough to get that many . Survivors catch on to your methods . Have to have a bag of tricks to get them all . I may be able to get 1 or 2 more before I have to try trapping them . Then each time I get one I need a new type of set . Cage trap , leg hold and bucket set are next in line .
I need to hand pollinate a acorn squash this morning . Got to 89 yesterday and 89 predicted again for today .
Well the wife and her friend have changed my travel plans a bit . Her friend is coming along . She is 72 and uses a cane . My brothers first wife . So family I guess . She can not handle a bunk bed in the trailer camper . So she will get a room in town to sleep in . I told the wife she is not allowed to disrupt my work . I really must get the lumber stored after the sawyer comes . Tired and cranky may be common for me until the work is finished . I will try to find time to take them fishing . I may have to rent a pontoon for a day to take them out . To gimpy old women may not work well in my old 14 foot v boat .
