Surviving Minnesota!

Two HUGE things have happened to me in the past month. One - I got my medicare card! Two - My DH just fired me from entering his business books!!!
I am dancing in the rain! He did it very nicely and I still have my portion to enter and balance as I pay all the bills but he hired my youngest step-son to enter
all the credit card receipts and balance them. I reminded him that they need to be balanced! YEA . . . . .

You know how that whole thing started right? There once were 2 neighbors, one a swede and one Norwegian. They never quite saw eye to eye. One day one of them was quite fed up with the other so he went to his shed where he kept a hand grenade and threw it over onto the others home. Of course the second guy was miffed so he grabbed the Grenade, pulled the pin, and hurled it back hahaha

Now you can decide which was which as I myself am fine mix of Irish and German :)

The swede definitely threw the grenade originally

I wish my husband would fire me from payroll and quarterly taxes! You are one lucky girl!

Grats on being fired!

I worked for approx. 15 years at the start of my career for CPA firms. I was a tax specialist. I now do the tax work for my wife's landscape company, and there is almost nothing I dislike more than that. You people have reminded me that the Quarterly tax returns are soon due in.
They are a boring pain in the ___ project.

I know! That is what Friday is for at my house!

We were down to 28 degrees last night brrrrr

The realization of winter is setting in and that i am behind schedule. Ay ay ay.... Time to get caught up! May have to take a day off work or something this weekend is supposed to be rainy

Morning . Well coons hit again while I was gone . Different pen this time . I thought I caught them all . 8 total . New ones moved in I guess . Worked the top wire loose in one spot to get in . Well actually pulled the staples . You know the chicken wire type staples . Not the puny type . White Legbar cockerel gone plus Legbar pullets . About 8 birds . Coons go on a feeding frenzy here in October . Range far and wide . Lots hit on the roads . Yesterday was rainy . About 1.6 inches .

It is 28 right now here.

You guys and your quarterly talk brought back nightmares to me!

And a guy named "Mr Fuchs" that works or worked for the State department of Revenue in the Duluth office. Yes, that was his name. I know it may not have helped but I would purposely mispronounce his name when I had to call or talk to him. We did not get along.

He even had the nerve to call me on day and say "I finally found something, I knew I would if I looked long enough". He was all excited, I think he thought I should be happy for him. It was our 18th audit and he finally found an error that cost me 12,000 bucks. It was an error in applying for our kids college aid. We did not report something that is not reported on taxes. He worked hard for that $1,200. I bet it cost the tax payers $ 20,000 to get that 1200.

See you have me in flashbacks now! I had forgotten about quarterlies, Futa, State Unemployment, FICA, and all that stuff. It came rushing back when you guys talked about it. You should all be ashamed of yourselves for what you did to me.

Oakridge, I will give you one thing Norwegians have that the Swedes do not, Good Neighbors!!!
