Morning . Well coons hit again while I was gone . Different pen this time . I thought I caught them all . 8 total . New ones moved in I guess . Worked the top wire loose in one spot to get in . Well actually pulled the staples . You know the chicken wire type staples . Not the puny type . White Legbar cockerel gone plus Legbar pullets . About 8 birds . Coons go on a feeding frenzy here in October . Range far and wide . Lots hit on the roads . Yesterday was rainy . About 1.6 inches .

I told you when I gave you the two cockerels you needed them both because of your coons!


Seriously, I am sorry they hit you. I do have more white sport cockerels if you need or want some. I have been toying with going to the APA Poultry show in Ohio to look at all the birds. If I go I could drop one off for you.


Anyone else toying with going? Ride share???? I am not sure yet, just thinking about it.

You just need to get a LGD all your problems solved. I've never had a coon attack since we got ours

I wanted to go to Ohio for my birthday. But I couldn't afford my ticket, and my parents couldn't pay for both mine and my moms

Hey now....stop all the bashing of Accountants....that is my bread and butter. In fact, I am taking the online CPP course right now. (Certified Payroll Professional). With some mergers happening, I have decided to give up the financial statements aspect, and take on payroll and human resources. Given the present state of health insurance.....I think I just shot myself in the foot.

You can always go back.... I was not bashing accountants, I was bashing one tax Auditor.....


We use to do all our monthly and quarterly reports on a computer program and just took the stuff to the CPA at the end of the year..

Interesting fact: back in 2002 the Irs fraud department hired the most college interns out of all companies at scsu. I was hired by a local firm that bashed this. It was interesting to see how many Irs letters were pure bogus, where they missed something. The fear they put into taxpayers is tremendous. So if you ever have Irs audit question everything they do.

Just got off the phone with the neighbor, it is official we are not renting to him next year and he is coming over tonight to talk about the piece of his field I want to buy. It's about 1 acre and he wouldn't have access to it without us providing easement. Plus it has a decent wet spot in it. Best for us to buy it and save all the hassle as long as he is willing to make a deal.

Now I have to figure out how to get it planted in spring. Option 1 is to hire someone to custom drill the seed for me Option 2 is to buy an old style ground drive drill and do it myself.

Price will probably decide between the two. I am so excited!!
