I did compromise on the sawmill . I am getting a Norwood HD 36 manual with electric height . You can upgrade to a hydraulic at anytime . I will probably do that before the house is finished . Earn it as I go . It can do a 36 inch diameter log by 16 foot long . Hope the election will not make my mutual fund dive . Plan to sell in March or so when value is usually at peak . Funding for the house .

Most of that is from my inheritance as is the lake property . So mom and dad did good buying a $3000 cabin and 12 acres in the mid 60's .

Jerry that is a great sawmill.

Remember the best way to purchase it is sneak it into a shed and let her discover it. Then you can honestly say you have had it for quite a while. "quite a while" is a variable amount of time, so you never lie.

NOW in regards to moving to Minnesota, even as a summer resident. You will have to check with the Minnesota Board of Scandinavian Betterment. We have hit our limit of Norwegian and are needing to low the ratio of Norwegian to Swedes. Basically it limits the number of Norwegians to 1/4th the number of Swedes.

Now I know this may seem harsh, but the Swedes have to balance out the Finlanders also. We can only have 2 of them for every 4 Swedes. ( We use to call this 1/2, but the silly Fins started chopping each other in half).

By doing this we can assure the Swedes stay in the majority and we limit the pressure on Lutefisk. We have a state tourist are not afraid to visit. It is just best for all. I am not sure of you heritage, you will get a card that you will need to have signed by 4 Swedes if you are Norwegian. If you are Swede they will give you a card allowing you to "sponsor" in joint with others a Fin or Norwegian. The paper work is not all that hard...

Here is a video I took the other day of Judy committing cruelty to turkeys.

You will also hear Judy calling me a name. She is not the nice person you people think she is. We were cleaning the deck and putting things up for winter. We went in for lunch and the turkeys just wanted to inspect our work.

I was laughing about the turkeys inspecting the deck and she turned into a mad woman..

She was running around the kitchen saying " Where's my pitcher" and "I am going to drown them" she becomes a different person when the turkeys are on the deck, I enjoy them on the deck, she does not.

I told her I was going to record the animal cruelty and play it for the sheriff. This is where the tape starts with her calling me a "brat". I am not a brat.

Watch her turkey interaction....I enjoy it..

The bit where she was trying to shoo them out the gate had me laughing!! Flashback to be trying to shoo chickens out of my garage to keep them from crapping on everything

Jerry: There is only one internet source around here. Arvig Communications-local telephone company. And I don't think cable reaches out to you so you'll need to sign up with DirectTV or Dish Network Satellite. They go a little ways out of town (city cable) but I don't think they go that far.

Ralphie, I am shocked that were not assisting your poor wife in her physical condition. I am also surprised that her words to you were not even more harsh?

Jerry, as they say "**** the torpedoes, full speed ahead". I commend you for your initiative and courage! Even though I have not met you or your wife, I suspect I would like to witness the events of her finding that extra check written on the joint account and/or the arrival of your new toy. You likely know that her initial reaction is that it is a machine only for your own entertainment.
Ralphies, tactical skullduggery may be in order for this one? Hope you are successful and actually make it to Minnesota. It is a long way to Illinois for any of us on here to visit you in the hospital.
