Surviving Minnesota!

Well everybody I am headed back to deer camp for the weekend of the season. I will wave when we drive by @Momof3plustwins
!!!

I'll be hanging out with my chickens tomorrow as I am off work so you may see me out. Although I thought about it and you could be thinking farther down the road from me also. So next hint is we are on the south side of the road.

I need to see pictures. I just can't picture it in my mind..
Okay, once I get the wood scraps moved out of the way and get the straw pitched out.

Holm, you do realize that Cochins are not so much a chicken as just a ball of feathers? Does this strain require AI to reproduce? That to me is not right, and I would never have a variety of birds which required it.

Ralphie, some years ago there was a God awful noise/scream in the middle of the night when we were staying at the cabin on Prairie Lake. I have not heard the sound before or again. I suspected a Cougar as my FIL sighted one there but then again it may simply have been an angry Sasquatch?
Perhaps, that was a Sasquatch mating call? Since there are so few and they are so hard to find, I don't think anyone has caught a recording of them.

I think it depends on how much you have done DW was tracking her father's side . He was adopted His natural father claimed it was not his since he and his wife were separated then divorced . So she had to do a wider search since any surviving siblings would not consent to testing . Turns out it was his . Still her remaining Aunt considers her father a half brother . He is deceased ,
My husband is adopted and even though we found his mother, we were never able to confirm his father since he wouldn't do a DNA for us and is now deceased, that person's children, as far as we know, do not know of my DH's existence. I know who and where they are to look them up, but DH has to give me the go-ahead. His mother who raised him, on her death bed, the last thing she said to him (she was in hospice with cancer the last month), "Your father was an Indian king." She had been pretty far out of it for a few days and this was just a day before she passed, but when she said it, her eyes were wide open and she looked right at him to tell him. So, of course, I want to find out what that was all about.

Morning all. Been reading ya'll heritage info with interest . My dad was born in the Black Forest area of Germany. Of course they are all gone now....and I miss those German accents.

And for you deer hunters...someone in Tennessee shot a 47 point deer. Potential record for our state. They showed a picture on the news. Was rather freaky looking. Not sure how that poor buck was able to walk with out falling forward.

Seems its finally turning into fall down here. We are just this week getting down in the 40's at night. I've had to start wearing socks with my flip flops.

Well it seems I have become a morning person . I keep waking up early . I finished processing the deer I got last week . Still have a antler less tag . Only been doing evening hunts . Just too busy . Not seeing anything Lots of neighbors hunt . I think the herd has been thinned .
