Good morning all. Hope the big lake does it's duty and pushes the snow event around us, but I fear it will be a direct hit. the high temps forecast for Sat. & Sun. are in the 30 to 32 range. that will be an awakening for us all, man and beast. glad I don't have any chickens in the molt.

Last night I had to pull the battery out of my phone and put it back in. I'm pretty sure I set the time wrong...

Morning all..

I lost the day yesterday getting ready for winter. Woe is me..

I hope to get it all done today. My birds will not be in great shape for New Ulm. I only got Ed bathed. I will sponge off the dirty spots I see and hope for the best. It is too late now and too cold. I am even toying with being a no show based on the weather.

It is a shame I really wanted to go, but I guess this weather is putting reality into my life again.

I helped a friend yesterday move his camper trailer from a resort up north, so I took a whirlwind tour of north central Minnesota. We left from Orrock visited Oak Park, Ronneby, Hillman, Lathrup, Baxter, Pequet Lakes, Jenkins, Cass Lake, Pennington, Bena, Federal Dam, Remer, Emily, Deerwood, Garrison, Pease and other historic places.

That was my day now I am a day behind again.

Oh What fun to have a road trip Ralphie! When you went from Federal Dam to Remer, did you go through Boy River? or did you go down to 200 and then east over to Remer. Boy River is 'Bogtown'.

Yes I think it's quiet on here because we're doing the mad scramble. I see wintry mix on our county. Of course it's going to rain first and give us a skating rink. Ugh. I hate that. Birds are in the run this AM. DS helped me move the broody coop out of the run. And I set up their jungle gym. (Pine poles criss crossing and Hay bales) Junior hopped right up on a pole and started walking it and checking it all out. LOL. Kind of cracked me up. The Youngster. Tootsie in latter years could have cared less. Weather Suppose to start at 10AM--some rain. I filled waterers and feeders. My hands got that not so nice cold feeling after they got wet. Here we go.... Birds really picked up on eating feed this past month as well. I'll need to buy two bags at a time now....

Neighbors are up. Came up last night. So I'm walking my dog on a leash like a city slicker for the next 4 days it looks like. No collar yet. F. I thought i had at least 2 more days without them. See? Neighborly love is gone.... Last weekend of Rifle season though. So probably just one PITA weekend to go here. I don't think they black powder.

Your phone should set the time itself. Cell phone?

DH and I were up until midnight getting kennels wrapped. Pain in the a*#. I'm going to try and get the run started today which should be quicker work. I bought 200 ft of 4 mil plastic wrap which I'm hoping will hold up better and I can hold onto it for next winter. We'll see. I got a few new extension cords, too. It's amazing what you find to buy when you take a walk around Menards! I don't expect to see too much snow in my area and I doubt any will stick around too long, but it's a rude awakening. The weather has spoiled me.

Whenever I take the battery out it changes the time to 8:51 pm and May 21 2014.
So I have to go and manually reset it everytime. And sometimes it will go to the wrong tower and its time will be off by an hour.
I set it to the right time though.
