Happy Birthday..

Which reminds me I need to get my drivers license renewed. It expires tonight.

Still not sure if I want to drive to New Ulm today or not in this weather. If I do no go Ed will be so ticked off. His having to take a bath then not go anywhere. ( he is so like his namesake)

They both just hate their baths!

Wind is blowing strong here but Cluckies was lying to you, it is still in the mid-70's and the sun is shining. Those of us in the banana belt are so lucky,

Happy birthday layers. First snow and a fun way to celebrate.

Just as I was heading out with the kids to the bus the phone rings- Honeywell system alert- no school. Ummm. Take your time about it. Sheesh. DS can't sleep any more DD back down to her room. They are both excited about the snow. Something about the first snow that triggers sledding skiing snowmobile fun memories, cozying up with hot chocolate and marshmallows after. We have about 4/5 inches. And wet slippery stuff it is.

Cluckies glad to see you check in. The birds are in the run today for sure. I've always done an open door policy no matter the weather but with that new comb on Junior and the moisture level on this snow and young pullets figuring out snow....well they would be pretty easy targets. Maybe when I come home after work for a bit I can let them check it out supervised.

I might have overstated the niceness of the weather today....

Cluckies would you mind swinging over here and taking care of my birds?

This weather does not agree with my sensitive nature and body....Thanks

Layers, happy birthday! Oh to be 15 again!!
It is raining here and the wind is strong out of the NW. So far the big lake is doing it's job, but I fear that may not hold? Condolences to those to the West who have the snow already, and envious of those in the Minnesota Banana Belt!
Ralphie, suck it up buttercup and get to those chores. It will soon be much worse, although I do have to agree if you can get someone else to do them that would be preferable. By the way, I hope you are getting some compensation from the Sasquatch group for the use of your cabin? Especially since you are not troubling them to use it in the summer at all.

Layers, I can deal with clear and cold easier than with snow and cold. So you can send that weather this way.
By the way, I suggest that you have a serious conversation with Mom and Dad. Ask them what was the best decision they made in life and what was a decision they would make differently now?
It may be best to talk with them individually?
