Surviving Minnesota!

Yep - watched it all. Do not ask me about the plays. I am no goodwith t at that. I know who catches Wthe ball and where they are on the field and I watch them run. I do not have a favorite team for obvious reasons. IF it is not the Vikings then it is Green Bay. After that I watch the games of the teams that are closest to Minnesota. So Patriots? Atlanta? Whatever. (By-the-way, whatever is the number one most frustrating word in the USA at this time. Makes sense.)

But! the above being said - HOLY COW!  I woke up my DH near the end and told him that he did not want to miss this. It was before O T.  He fell back to sleep in his recliner. Woke up long enough to see the Patriots win.

The half time show. I thought she did a fantastic entertainment halftime. Lady Gaga is not really my cup of but I thought that she was really good. The costume changes - I wondered when she got to make them. Man, she must have had helpers ripping off her clothes as she moved onto the next set. And her tummy did not bother me in the least. If only I could have that tummy again. Ah, age, how sweet it is. So many wonderful memories.

I wish i could've listened to half time.. to busy talking to people. There weren't that many people at Braydens This year, usually there's a lot but 3 are Ellen's close family so they weren't there and another was the kid who died in the ATV accident this fall. And Seth, Kadyn and Breann weren't there, along with quie a few others.
I won a 12 pack of Pepsi from the kids betting nothing for the adults betting, someone wanted to do a $500 square square but we were all like he double hockey stick no!

I did get a lot of people hooked on the Tenvis cameras and they all want them for their calving barns now

Made it home safe from Marshall. My oldest had a hockey tournament. I checked out Brau Brothers Brewery for those of you who love beer as much as me! Cool place, family owned, and a lot of great brews. DH and I brought home a few growlers.

Eggs went into lockdown last night. I had to pull them out twice today for humidity issues. Hopefully, that didn't mess with them too much. All is well for the moment. I do think I have a bad one in there somewhere. That smell.....gag.....

Yeah still learning the quirks of this new system . Need to try photos off my camera card . DW has caught the bug also . She will probably be much worse than I am . She is not faithfully taking the med . BC I got the cure for $16 something at Walmart . Drug stores should have it but Longville has neither . It is 12 doses taken every 6 hours .

I ordered it this am with another item from Walmart. Free shipping! Will probably be here tomorrow. We actually have a pharmacy (small) but they're nice and they'll order things too.

New phone finally but my iCloud storage did not go and so my photos are on the old phone and that's it. That's fine. Not much on there anyways. There was one egg tracker app that must no longer be that has a lot of egg info for me... but now gone. Oh well. Start over with a comparable app.

dH has new phone too. Of course his down load from the cloud went without a hitch.

Did you candle them? What was the humidity issue?

Good morning. I wish I could go back to bed. I am getting a new student today. So I will be spending my day with 23 4&5 year olds. Then concessions for wrestling all night. I'll be back about 8-8:30pm. Some days I wish I drank coffee.

You do not drink coffee???

I never drank coffee until after I married into your family. You are not a real Jim falls relative if you don't drink coffee.

Morning all!

I moved eggs to the hatcher yesterday. Not many considering what I started with.

33 eggs, legbars, Yokies, Pollacks, Toads and Doms. Majority is Legbars.

I took a picture or 4 of the LARGE egg. I hate to have to break it, but I am not going to waste the effort that hen went too.

I call in my "quarter pounder"..

Can you tell which one it is?

I put it next to a beer can, I figured most of you would know the size of a beer can.
I had to walk the ditch to find a can as I never have them here...

I did candle them. 7 didn't make the cut. There's one that I wasn't sure if I should pull or not - I think it may be a late quitter, but I wasn't sure enough to pull the plug. I can't figure out which one is stinking up the place. I didn't notice the smell until I kicked the humidity up, so maybe the bator needs a deeper cleaning.

I filled the usual tray with water to get the humidity up to 65% and it brought it up to 90%. It didn't waiver much so I took out the eggs and filled up a smaller tray. It still kicked it up way too high. My house hasn't changed much - I dry hatched around 30% humidity the other 18 days. Once again I took out the eggs and am now using a small bowl with water and adding wet towels to keep it at that 65-70%. I really should have done that in the first place. That or hatched them in cartons like you do, so I'm not handling the eggs so much.
