Surviving Minnesota!

Good morning Chicken Friends. I have a day off as it would be on a Saturday with a paying job. But I have about 2-3 more loads of laundry with my Domestic engineer job, the dog nosing me for her regular feeding, and chickens waiting for the pop door to open.

June carter fell off the roost last night and I'm a bit sad about that, but mostly disappointed that she will not be laying blue eggs for me after an investment of time and feed. And relieved I did not have to do the job it looks like I should have done about a week ago. Note to self.

RIP June Carter.

Sorry about June.

I find it amazing they sit on the roost until they are gone. Then just fall to the ground. I think that is kind of a blessing like someone going peacefully in their sleep..

Did you hear from you DH? Did he get rich in Garrison?

Thanks ralphie and Erlibird.
No word from DH. I think he might be sleeping in...? Which I'm seriously wishing I got to do this Am. The neighbors are up this weekend and Sadie is a barking fool. She barks Loud. Jasmine was never a barker. This fool is. Nice quiet house and she's apesh*#.

I need to get coffee agoing and start my knitting. Grumpy gills. Not good to start the day off with a dead pullet, apparently.
