Incubator seems to fluctuate about a degree. Am I better with 100-101 or 99-100?

Candles tonight. Day 10. Set 12 eggs. 10 starters, 1 maybe.

For a rooster that I wasn't sure was doing his job, not too bad.

Cautiously optimistic.

I have my second hatch of the year in the incubator (pretty sad year because of global warming weather)

53 cream legbars
7 white legbars
14 PC
20 Doms
2 unknown--could have been egg gatherer error
9 toad or Turkey I can't tell, toad and turkey eggs look a lot alike
15 turkey eggs
7 mixed breed eggs including one turkey with new skin on them

127 all together.... April 24 and May 1st hatch dates..

If I do not screw it up somehow...

Second-guessing the candling. I was mostly looking for veins....one egg was clear for sure.

I did not pay much attention to the air sack. Should I have? Should I candle again in a few days?

I only candle on day 18, unless I have an egg I suspect to be bad.

I never mark air sacs. They either hatch or they don't.

I don’t pay any attention to the air cells. I am gonna candle tonight so I can make room to set this next batch..
