Good Morning all! I have a work retreat to go on today. Sending my husband to little falls (nearest TSC) to pick up some feather fixer by the 40/50 pound bag. I think I am going to try that with my bantams and mix it with layer feed for the large fowl. I have been doing some research on Vitamin E and Selenium. It appears these 2 nutrients are critical in healthy sperm and ultimately healthier chicks. Last year I had some problems with my buckeyes not hatching until day 22 or 23 or the embryo was alive on day 18 but dead on 22. This did not happen to any other breed that I was breeding last year. I will put the disclaimer out there that I knew the breeding stock I had last year were inbred but that has been fixed for this year. I would appreciate any thoughts and insight people have on vitamins in relation to feed. I know I have the ability to mix a batch of “vitamin water” but I am a firm believer in reserving vitamin water for times of stress.

Sun came out and yes 70 degrees inside here also . Seed catalogs are arriving . I have received 2 . Outside is close to your temperatures .
I have not stepped outside..It appears not so great for older carbon based life forms, like me....

It is the type of day where whore frost hangs on the trees.

the broken thermometer reads 30 degrees....but the window could be deflecting my view and it might be colder..

We were predicted to have freezing fog but it did not happen . So no hoar frost here . Yes Ralphie that is the correct spelling . Yes pronounced the same .
