Surviving Minnesota!

I think pigeons are cool...I had one as a pet when we were kids.

It would fly to wherever we were and just hang out with us. When cultivating or working the fields it would find us and land on the steering wheel.

We would remove it from the steering wheel and set in on our shoulders to keep it company. It was a great pet until the day it landed too close to the cat. From that day on it was just the pet we use to have...

All those nice things said, I have a pigeon question...

What do you do with that many pigeons?

Do you eat their eggs?
Do you eat their babies?
Do they have a purpose?
Will be be invited up for a specially prepared fancy squab meal fixed by your sister?

Are they always kept in cages?

Can these pigeons "home" like racers?

I have more but these should do for now....

Just for the record, I did not say, or condone that smart donkey answer....

Heck, I even tried to not laugh.....mainly because I was wiping the snorted tea off my screen...

They’re fun... I’m sure you could eat the squabs and I know some eat the eggs but they only lay two every time they decide to nest...

I have zero intentions on flying my Horseman until I get a loft so I haven’t done much research on that...
