I am raising chickens vicariously through my mom - who lives nearby and has the space. we got her chickens when she was spending most of her time at home as a caregiver.

We have 17: one coop with a 7 yr old Blue Andalusian and 2 yr old Easter Egger. The second Coop has 2- 4 yr old (Barnevelders, and 2 yr old Easter Egger, Black Australorp, and a 1 year old Dark Brahma.
The last group is 5 weeks old - and I am working on figuring out the breeds.

The chickens are my mom’s pets, and I do a lot of the work for her (she’s 90).

I have been looking for info online for years and decided to join you all at backyard chickens since my searches keep bringing me back to you!
