I thought hen 1 had sour/impacted crop last week. Today hen 2 was unwell and oozed fluid from her beak when picked up. Took a video of weird neck movement sort of crop adjusting style buy def not... Doesn't look wry neckish to me either.

I have tetracycline but don't know if that will help.

Welcome to BYC!
I am sorry your girls aren't feeling so well.
A video would help a lot also smell the mouth...does is smell bad?

No smell. When hen 2 was down and no crop movement for a few days that started to smell yuck but no big sour smell. I gave her a concoction that's supposed to break up a blockage and and after a few days things seemed to be moving more like normal (empty crop im the morning) but noe this new girl makes me wonder...

What breed and age?
What do you feed them and any new birds brought home recently?
How does their poop look?
Ever had to treat for coccidiosis before?

They are close to 4, brown leg horns. Poop for hen 1 was barely uric acid for a few days and is now more liquidy with dark flecks throughout. Hen 1 had 1 decent poop over the weekend when I was home to feed her well. She's not interested herself it seems.

Same food supplier but different bags a month ago. 15 other hens still seem fine. I asked food supplier and we will talk tomorrow.

Never had coccidosis. Never bloody poop. No new birds aside from the regular wild ones that fly around but generally don't interact.

Have you ever wormed your flock?

How does the one in the video above belly feel?
Her stance is not looking too good.

Impacted, Slow and Sour Crops - Prevention and Treatments

I have done a ton of sour crop research the past week, that's an excellent and concise resource.

I have not medically wormed my flock. I give them pumpkin and black oil sunflower seeds, occasionally oregano oil and acv. I check poo whenever I can and have never seen worms.

How would I worm them? Maybe I should better check hen 2 to see if she is egg bound...
