Suspicious of my Welsummer

This is supposed to be a pullet, but I am a little suspicious of her hackle feathers. She is about 4 1/2 weeks old.

I'd say pullet as theres no evidence of black on the breast yet.. usually there are patches of much darker or black color. hers is dark and 'even colored' like on a welsumer pullet.

Do they get hackle feathers that young? I'm still a newbie, so I'm not sure, but it just kind of looks like the cases that feathers come in poking through on the neck? Her/his colouring looks similar to my girls. The face does look a little boyish, but I don't know. This is one of mine at a similar age I think

it will shows signs of blue in its wing feathers if its a boy

Pullet, 100%. A cockerel would have black showing in the breast by now.

Thank you! None of them 'act' like roosters, but that really doesn't mean much, so I am glad to hear that she is looking girly.
