As this is our first time keeping chickens, we got everything ready, and then... no chicks until mid June, sometimes later (this means that they won't start laying until Winter)! Checked the major sites that I found though googling and here, nothing.
Anybody know of a hatchery selling these breeds, today?
As a sidebar, I'm wondering if a lot of people are getting into chickens now because of the economics (nobody says Depression at work, even though workers are being culled daily). Economics sure is a major influence on us doing it now, while we still have two dimes to rub together!
