Sussex Co Poultry Fanciers Event (Augusta, NJ)

Hi All,
Here are the details for the Sussex show & Sales area. The date:Oct 24th, Grounds open:7:30 am. All entries Cooped in by: 9:00 am. Coop out after the Awards are given out,usually about 3pm. The Chinese Auction time \\: 1:00 - 2:00pm. Sales are open until the end of the show. Show secretary Karen Unrath 973-300-1820 [email protected]

So I've never been to a poultry show. And I'm curious, do lots of people bring chicks to sell?

I'm crazy excited!!! I just got back from picking up a new coop. So who's bringing chicks!?!

There might not be very young (day old) chicks there. It being in the 40's at night. But there will most likely be young stock & older birds for sale. We will be bringing some Silkies & Bantam Wyandottes, also some homing pigeons. See you all there!

Not sure which birds we will bring yet. We have to go through them this week. We have about 50 older chicks, and had a hatch of 40 pip out today. But we do breed Bearded Silkies in, Black,Blue,White, Splash. We also have been hatching out, Blue Partridge, Lavender & Porcelain. The birds we have available right now are out of our best show hens from last year. If anyone would like to see our show results feel free to email/pm me and I can give you a copy. Thanks

we're excited this will be our first poultry show/sale

i'll be looking for an EE rooster. we've only started with chickens a year ago

We we have picked out some silkies for the sale. We'll have white,black,blue & splash. We have a young pullet out of our champion splash hen that will be in that bunch too. So see you at the show!
