sussex crossed with silkie.......

Anyone interested in them? I have 3, two of them are about 3 months old. The other one is a hen, she is not laying yet. But should be soon.

I recently hatched some eggs from my speckled sussex hen and black silkie rooster and was pleasantly surprised with the sex-linked trait. My chicks were born either looking like a chipmunk (speckled sussex) or solid gray or black (silkie) Can I assume this is their sexing trait, chipmunks are the pullets and the solid ones are my cockerels?
